Penn's Youth Initiative

Programs

Direct Service Programs

  • Healthy Relationships Programs – Engage youth with interactive and thought-provoking lessons. These programs equip participants with healthy relationship and risk avoidance skills to avoid teen dating violence, vaping, social media dangers, and toxic friendships.
  • Youth Job Readiness – Lesson series focus on soft skills development that prepare youth for post-secondary success.
  • Train-the-Trainer – Provides curriculum training and ongoing support to local school staff and counselors, enabling them to implement the REAL Essentials Curriculum in classrooms or small-group settings.
  • Community Engagement – Community speaking events designed to raise awareness and inspire action around challenges youth are facing.

Statewide Collaborative

In addition to providing direct services, Penn’s Youth Initiative plays a vital statewide role offering fiscal sponsorship for other youth-serving programs. PYI acts as a collaborative backbone—strengthening a statewide coalition for youth development, expanding access to high-impact programming, and advancing shared resources and advocacy efforts.

PYI fiscal sponsorship program provides:

  • Administrative support (HR, funding reimbursements)
  • Grant reporting and compliance support
  • Organizational development and leadership coaching
  • Co-branding for shared advocacy and storytelling platforms

Through these partnerships, PYI helps organizations with education programs remain community-rooted while advancing in best practices, gaining access to sustainable funding, compliance infrastructure, and strategic growth planning. This work amplifies collective impact across Pennsylvania’s youth development landscape.
